Hide or Show System Tray Overflow Menu in Windows 11 (22H2)

System Tray Overflow Menu also known as the ‘Taskbar Corner Overflow menu’ or ‘Hidden Icon menu’ is an overflow menu in the bottom-right of the screen that lets you quickly access apps and features you may use on a regular basis such as Microsoft OneDrive, etc.
Windows 11 lets you show or hide the entire System Tray Overflow menu in the Taskbar.
Hide or Show System Tray Overflow Menu in Windows 11
Many apps and system process are hidden on Windows 11.But you can find and access the hidden app icons by clicking the Up arrow (System Tray menu).
The September update (22H2) of Windows 11 adds a new option to the Taskbar settings page that completely removes the system tray menu (arrow-up icon).
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar and select ‘ Taskbar settings’ from the menu.
Click the ‘Other system tray icons’ menu to reveal system tray icons options.
The toggle next to the ‘Hidden icon menu’ option.
The system tray overflow menu will disappear from the taskbar corner.
To show the system tray overflow menu on the taskbar, turn ‘On’ .
Show System Tray or App Icons without System Tray Menu
However, some icons are all always need to be in the taskbar notification area like ‘Safe Eject Media’, ‘OneDrive status indicator’, ‘Windows Security’, etc.
You can still hide the System tray menu (Hidden icon menu) with all the unnecessary icons.
Right-click on any empty space on the taskbar and select the ‘ Taskbar settings’ option.
Click the ‘Other system tray icons’ tile to reveal options.
Next, disable the ‘Hidden icon menu’ option .
Now, toggle the slider next to any apps or system icons you want .
